Compact PTZ dome camera

AutoDome Easy II IP camera is less than half the size of traditional PTZ dome cameras and reportedly provides as much coverage as four fixed minidomes. The camera uses H.264 compression for DVD-quality video with reduced bit rates and generates two independent streams with 4CIF resolution and one jpeg stream. Tri-streaming allows the camera to produce images for live viewing and recording while concurrently sending jpeg images to a remote server or device. The unit has 360-degree continuous rotation.

Fenway Park upgrades its fire-safety and mass-notification systems.

Fire detection and fire-control functions are major considerations when it comes to sports arenas. Voice evacuation systems must do more than direct people to the nearest point of egress. Life-safety systems are expected to protect against fire, weather, hazardous material, and intruder-related emergencies.

The upgrade of such a system was the primary objective behind the design and installation of an advanced fire alarm EVAC (emergency voice/alarm communications) network throughout the Boston Red Sox' historic Fenway Park and its surrounding buildings in Boston.
