Green concrete fence

Precast concrete fence and wall solutions use eco-friendly products in the manufacturing process. VOC- and mercury-free molds, water-based release agents, and recycled materials reduce the use of cement and the product’s carbon impact. The solutions can be integrally colored and rendered to resemble wood fences and brick and stone walls. No painting maintenance is required. The products use recycled cementitious material to reduce the cement component of the product while yielding more than 5,000 psi. Available products include FenceStone, BrickCrete, and WoodCrete Rail.

Underfoot, In A Sustainable Way

A raised-access floor contains HVAC, power, and cable services and provides occupants with a measure of control over their thermal comfort. Building management can easily accommodate tenant changes in layout and technology.

Developers and architects find that raised-access floors provide sustainable advantages and design options in renovation of older buildings and in new construction.

Such a system features an understructure that provides positive positioning and lateral retention of 24-inch-square floor panels with typical finished floor heights from 3 to 18 inches. A raised-access floor can maximize the floor-to-ceiling height of a space.

The underfloor pathway created by the raised floor provides housing for voice and data systems and HVAC service. Floor-mounted service-distribution boxes with plug-and-play modular wiring offer convenient, flexible access to voice, data, and power outlets. These termination boxes can be located anywhere on the floor and can be relocated as layout or telecommunication needs change. Diffusers used in access floors include passive diffusers with manually adapted dampers or variable-air- volume terminals with built-in volume-control dampers that automatically adjust to thermostat settings and occupant comfort levels.
