Energy-saving facts

  • Double-pane insulating glass windows include two panes of glass with a gas-filled space between them — and can insulate over two times better than single-pane windows based on a comparison of U-Factors.
  • Benefits of double-pane insulating glass low-emissivity (Low-E) windows over single-pane windows with clear glass include: lower energy costs, improved home comfort in hot or cold weather, protection from the sun’s fading rays, and more peace and quiet by reducing outside noise.
